Creating Art that Connects, Evokes Emotions and Offers a Moment of Pause
I'm Susan Boras, a fine artist inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the stories it whispers. My journey from a successful career in corporate leadership, coaching, and academia to becoming a full-time artist has been life-changing, teaching me one powerful truth: art has the ability to connect us all. Growing up on a farm instilled in me a deep love for animals and the outdoors, which continues to inspire my work.
I create art to inspire connection, reflection, and joy. Art is my way of sharing stories, moments, and meaning. Through every brushstroke, I seek to evoke emotions—joy, wonder, nostalgia—and to offer viewers a moment of pause, a chance to reconnect with themselves and their own experiences. It’s an invitation to celebrate beauty in all its forms and reflect on the emotions that make us human.
Working primarily with acrylics, I explore the rich textures and vibrant colors of the natural world. From the way sunlight filters through the trees to the emotions sparked by distant memories, my work is a celebration of life’s beauty—both seen and felt. Each piece begins as a blank canvas and evolves through layers of texture and color, using brushes, palette knives, sponges, and even my fingers to bring each story to life.
My art is meant to be more than something to look at—it’s meant to be felt. I hope it transforms spaces and touches hearts, sparking joy, connection, and contemplation. I aim to give viewers a moment of calm, reflection, and inspiration, encouraging them to see the beauty that exists within themselves and the world around them.
What My Artwork Brings to Collectors
My artwork is designed to offer more than beauty...it’s a meaningful experience that resonates deeply with those who collect it. Here’s what my work brings to those who welcome it into their lives:
Art isn’t just what I do. It’s how I share stories and meaning. Whether I’m painting, connecting with collectors, or planning future projects, my intention remains the same: to create art that inspires and connects.
