This vibrant landscape painting captures the raw beauty of nature in a way that is both captivating and slightly ominous. I was inspired to create this piece by my childhood memories of watching storms roll in over the prairies of southern Alberta. The contrast between the dark, brooding sky and the sunlit yellow canola fields always left me in awe. The way the storm would pass quickly, leaving the field bathed in a magical glow, was something I wanted to capture in my artwork.
