The Commission Journey – Step by Step
📝 Step 1: Share Your Vision
Browse Susan’s past paintings and take note of what speaks to you. Then Fill out the inquiry form with your space, size, colour preferences, or any inspiration.
🎨 Step 2: Susan Brings It to Life
Your painting will be created over 4–6 weeks using layered textures, colour, and emotion—always with your vision in mind.
🖼️ Step 3: Review & Refine
Once the painting is complete, Susan will send a preview image. Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. Want some changes made to your painting? This is the time to request them.
📦 Step 4: Final Touch & Delivery
Once approved, your painting will be professionally packaged in sturdy materials and shipped to your home with care. A tracking number will be provided once it's on the way.

Some Things To Consider
🖼️ Planning for Your Space
Plan Your Space Where do you imagine your new painting hanging? Is it a cozy corner, a bright entryway, or above your fireplace? Consider:
- The location where you want to place your piece
- Size of the artwork - 💡 Tip: Use painter’s tape or cut a piece of paper to experiment with placement and size on your wall.
- Whether you’d prefer portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) orientation. Portrait is vertical where the art is taller than it is wide. Landscape is horizontal where the image is wider than it is tall.
💰 Pricing & Budgeting
Once we’ve finalized the size, concept, and details of your painting, a personalized quote will be provided.
All pricing is in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and is based on the formula: Length (inches) × Width (inches) × $5.00 = Commission Price
Shipping is not included in the commission price and will be quoted separately based on your location and packaging needs.
Payment is accepted via e-transfer. A 50% deposit is typically required to reserve your commission slot and begin the creative process, with the remaining balance due upon approval of the completed artwork before shipping.

Susan’s goal is for you to feel completely connected to the piece she creates for you. When the painting is finished, you’ll receive a preview image via email for review.
- You’re welcome to request changes or refinements—this is your story, and your satisfaction matters deeply.
- If either you or Susan chooses to cancel the commission for any reason during the process, a full refund will be issued.
- In the rare event the painting is completed but unclaimed, a 100% refund will still be honored.
Susan approaches every commission with care, transparency, and professionalism—ensuring you feel confident every step of the way.
